Serum Indices HIL

The reliability of various assays conducted in the clinical chemistry laboratory may be impacted by the presence of haemoglobin, elevated bilirubin or increased lipid (turbidity). These three components are commonly referred to as serum indices (HIL). Modern analysers routinely analyse patients samples for the levels of these components and flag results appropriately. The Torax HIL (serum indices control) is a three level precision control containing all three components. The levels are set to test the full range of the instrument. The control is available in three formats to match the range of Roche, Siemens and Beckman systems. The control is stable for 18 months at -20oC protected from light.
